Organisations
An organisation is a workspace: it owns servers, projects, the team and the billing. Everything you do happens inside one.
You may belong to several#
An account can be in more than one — your own, plus each client or employer that invited you. Switch between them from the organisation switcher in the panel.
Permissions do not travel. You might be an Owner in your own organisation and a Viewer in a client's. The role that applies is the one for the organisation you are currently in.
Check which one you are in#
Before you deploy or delete anything, glance at the switcher. Two organisations
with a project called api is an easy mistake to make and an unpleasant one to
undo.
Getting into someone else's#
By invitation only. They invite you with a role; you accept the link.
Signing up separately does not give you access to their organisation — it creates a new empty one of your own.
Your own organisation#
Created with your account when you sign up. You are its Owner. Owner is the only role that reaches billing.
Leaving one#
Ask an Owner or Admin to remove you. Your access ends immediately; the audit log keeps the record of what you did, which is the point of having one.
Servers belong to an organisation#
A server is connected to one organisation and is not shared between them. If the same physical machine needs to be managed from a different organisation, it is disconnected from one and connected to the other — it does not appear in both.
Raise a ticket and someone will pick it up. Sign in with the same account you use for the panel.
